ABOUT GLORIA ANN
Gloria Ann Shows is an artist based in Washington, DC. She plays with processes in printmaking, fiber art, and book art. Gloria has shown in several group exhibitions in the greater Columbus and Oklahoma City areas in addition to exhibitions at Flood Plain (St. Louis, MO), Living Arts Gallery (Tulsa, OK), and ARTS/West (Athens, OH). She has had solo exhibitions at Pearl Conard Gallery (Mansfield, OH), The Project Box (Oklahoma City, OK), and Graceful Arts Gallery (Alva, OK). She has held residencies at Artspace at Untitled in Oklahoma City, OK, and Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva, OK.

Her work is in the collections at Kohler Art Library, UW (Madison, WI); University of North Florida (Jacksonville, FL); Southern Graphics Council International Archive; Indiana University, (Bloomington, IN); and Zuckerman Museum of Art (Kennesaw, GA). Her prints belong to the print exchanges “Connect:Collect” Oklahoma City, OK (2019-2022); “Altered Landscapes” Las Vegas, NV (2018); “Texchange” Dallas, TX (2019); “Our Shared Future” Madison. WI (2022); “Routine Maintenance” Jacksonville, FL (2022); “Cul-de-sac” Columbus, OH, Toledo, OH, and Dunbar, WV; “(Un)Necessary Duplicates Volume 8” Laramie, WY, and Omaha, NE; and “Homeward” Kingville, TX, and Edmond, OK.

Gloria earned her MFA in Printmaking from The Ohio State University, and her BFA from University of Central Oklahoma. She is a member and previous Director of Comics and Narrative Arts and Project Assistant at the Filipino American Artist Directory and a member of Southern Graphics Council International. She is currently the Exhibition Director and Catalog Designer for I Like Your Work.
